Treatment options for your child is based on the comprehensive assessment that will be conducted by our experienced staff. Once the assessment is completed, an individual plan of care (IPOC) will be developed to meet your child's needs. When an insurance plan funds ABA services for an individual, it must be deemed Medically Necessary.
ABA is considered medically necessary when:
It is prescribed to address core symptoms of ASD, such as deficits in language development/communication, social skills, or restrictive and repetitive behaviors.
The individual’s condition causes functional impairments that limit their ability to participate in daily activities, interact socially, or live independently.
ABA therapy is expected to provide meaningful improvements in problematic behavior, skill acquisition, or quality of life.
There are measurable and objective goals that guide treatment.
ABA is not considered medically necessary when:
It is addressing academic skills
