Stacey Simonds
Founder/Senior Clinical Director

Stacey is a dedicated advocate for individuals with autism and other developmental challenges, as well as the founder of Innovative Behavior Management, Inc., an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency based in Lakeland, Florida. With over 25 years of experience in the field, she has a deep passion for helping children and families achieve meaningful and lasting changes through evidence-based practices. Stacey earned her master’s degree in applied behavior analysis from the University of South Florida and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her journey in behavior analysis began when she was accepted into the USF undergraduate ABA program and began her work with local centers. This is where she discovered the profound impact that tailored behavior interventions can have on lives. This experience ignited a lifelong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families. Under her leadership, Innovative Behavior Management, Inc. has become a trusted resource for families seeking compassionate and effective ABA therapy. The agency’s mission is to empower clients through personalized treatment plans that focus on skill development, communication, and social integration. Stacey believes in a holistic approach, working closely with families, schools and other supports to create supportive environments that foster growth and independence. She is also actively involved in training and mentoring new behavior analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the standards of care in the field. Stacey believes in the importance of community involvement and strives to bring her passion for ABA into every community that she serves. In her free time, Stacey loves spending time with her family, traveling, and working out. She resides in Florida with her two sons and her boxer baby and is committed to making a positive impact in all the communities that IBM serves.

Crystal Alderman
Supervising BCBA and Clinical Director of Services

Crystal Alderman is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience in applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support individuals across various settings. In 2016, Crystal received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. After obtaining her Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst designation, she enrolled in graduate school. In 2019, Crystal earned her Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University. She received her Board-Certified Behavior Analyst credential in 2019. With over 14 years of experience in the field, Crystal has worked with individuals of all ages, from children to adults with varying developmental disabilities in the clinical, educational, home, and community settings. Crystal has provided ABA services in the capacity of an RBT, BCaBA, BCBA and is the supervising BCBA and Clinical Director of Services for Innovative Behavior Management, Inc. Specializing in behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and data-driven decision-making, Crystal is passionate about creating individualized programs that promote positive behavior change and enhance the quality of life for each of her clients. She utilizes evidence-based ABA techniques, including discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, functional communication training and other evidence-based strategies to develop and implement interventions that are both effective and compassionate. Crystal has been witness to the development and growth of individuals that receive ABA services to live a better quality, more independent life. Throughout her career, Crystal has demonstrated expertise in working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes. She is dedicated to continuous professional development and regularly attends conferences and workshops to stay current with the latest research and trends in ABA. In addition to her work with clients, Crystal is also passionate about mentoring and supervising aspiring behavior analysts, contributing to the growth of the field by sharing knowledge and practical insights. Crystal is a practicum supervisor for local universities and enjoys mentoring new students in the field. In Crystal’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching and attending her children’s and professional sporting events, cooking and baking, and most of all, she enjoys being a mother.

Ashlyn Hutchison
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

I’m Ashlyn Hutchison, a dedicated behavior professional with about 6 years of experience supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. I specialize in implementing individualized behavior interventions for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. I have worked with children and adults in various settings, including homes, schools, and therapy centers. I just recently became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst and am excited to see where this role will take me. In 2023, I received a Bachelor of Science in Behavior Healthcare with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis from University of South Florida. In 2025, I received a Masters of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. My clinical experience, combined with advanced training and continuing education, allows me to approach treatment with both technical precision and compassionate care. My approach to implementing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment for clients. I believe in using positive reinforcement and data-driven strategies to create lasting behavioral change. My approach focuses on promoting independence and improving social interaction. I highlight qualities such as patience, empathy, and consistency, which are beneficial in my role. I have a strong commitment to assisting individuals in achieving their full potential, and I am motivated daily by the opportunity to positively influence their lives. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, reading, and engaging in creative art projects.

Claudia Nunez
Registered Behavior Technician

Claudia is a Registered Behavior Technician at Innovation Behavior Management, where she provides direct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She joined the field in February 2025 and has experience supporting clients in clinic settings. Claudia is certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as an RBT. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), she implements individualized treatment plans, collects behavior data, and supports clients in developing communication, social, and adaptive skills. Claudia is passionate about helping others and is dedicated to creating a positive, engaging, supportive environment where children can thrive and families feel empowered. In her free time, Claudia enjoys gym workouts, painting, and spending time with family.

Terry Latimer
Registered Behavior Technician

I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with over two years of experience working with children in behavioral and developmental settings. I am passionate about helping kids grow through natural, play-based interactions that support real-life learning and independence. I specialize in natural environment teaching, with a focus on helping children develop meaningful language skills while reducing challenging behaviors. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching children find their voice and helping families experience more enjoyable, connected time together. My approach is rooted in patience, consistency, and meeting each child where they are, creating an environment where progress feels both natural and lasting. Outside of my work, I enjoy staying active through pickleball, basketball, and running, and I bring that same energy and commitment into the care and support I provide.

Wendi Callaway
Registered Behavior Technician

My name is Wendi Callaway and I have been working as a RBT for over a year. I’ve worked with clients in their homes, in a clinical setting and in schools here in Polk County. I enjoy being a part of this great team to provide excellent care for your children. My passion for ABA lies in the growth I am able to encourage in learners to build in themselves by teaching and practicing critical skills they can use to lead happy and fulfilled lives. My passion also lies in our community here in central Florida. I was born and raised here and feel a great joy in being able to help make my community a better place by helping others. I believe we all have an intrinsic worth that is valuable and should be cared for. This belief pushes me to provide the best service and care possible for your children as they develop and grow into unique individuals with the skills and support to lead happy and fulfilled lives. My life outside work is fueled with the same passion to create my own joy. I am an artist and crafter and enjoy creating art of all kinds whether it be with paint, yarn or paper.

Sydney Alexander
Registered Behavior Technician

My Name is Sydney Alexander, I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I work directly with children and families to build skills, encourage independence, and support each client in reaching their unique goals. I use a blend of structured teaching, play-based learning, and positive reinforcement to make every session engaging and effective. I believe every step forward is worth celebrating, and I value the strong collaboration between clients, families, and the therapy team. My passion for Applied Behavior Analysis began at home—my younger brother has Autism, and watching his growth sparked my dedication to helping others achieve the same kind of progress. For me, this work is deeply personal—it’s more than a career. I’m committed to creating a supportive, fun, and empowering environment where each client can learn, grow, and thrive. When I’m not working, I am usually spending time with my favorite people—my family and friends. I love being outdoors, whether it’s taking a walk, exploring, or just watching a pretty sunset. Some of my hobbies include DIY projects, painting and beach volleyball.

Cristina Cruz
Registered Behavior Technician

I am a Registered Behavior Technician with two years of experience supporting children and families through tailored, evidence-based interventions. I prioritize getting to know each client’s strengths, preferences, and challenges so every session is meaningful and effective. My approach is informed by personal experience. I grew up with a sister who is autistic and am a mother of two, which helps me connect with families and understand the day to day realities they face. I’m patient, observant, and committed to celebrating progress, no matter how small. Outside the clinic, I enjoy visiting theme parks, exploring new places, trying new food, crocheting, and snuggling with our four cats while we enjoy our family time at home.

Kayla Keefe
Registered Behavior Technician

I became an RBT because I have a genuine love for working with children and helping them discover their abilities. Every day, I get to witness moments of growth—whether it’s a new skill learned, a behavior improved, or a smile that says, “I did it!” I work under the supervision of a BCBA to provide personalized ABA therapy, using evidence-based strategies and a lot of encouragement. My approach is to make each session engaging and meaningful, so learning feels like an exciting adventure. What I love most about this work is the connection I build with my clients and their families. We celebrate every success together and work through challenges as a team. Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, painting, basketball, golf and I try to bring that same creativity and energy into my sessions.

Darlene Santana
Registered Behavior Technician

My name is Darlene, and I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a year of hands-on experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I chose to become an RBT because I have two younger brothers with autism, and I witnessed my mother navigate a system that often lacked accessible resources in Spanish. That experience sparked my passion for helping families feel seen and supported, which led me to pursue both my RBT certification and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. As a Registered Behavior Technician, I provide one-on-one support to neurodivergent individuals, focusing on building independence, strengthening communication, and implementing behavior intervention strategies in a compassionate way. I am committed to providing individualized care that meets each client where they are, while creating a supportive and engaging environment. Outside of work, I enjoy going on hikes, trying new recipes, and traveling to explore new places!

Ashley Marks
Registered Behavioral Therapist

Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) with 1.5 years of hands-on experience supporting children and families through evidence-based behavioral interventions. I specialize in implementing individualized behavior plans, collecting and analyzing data to track progress, and collaborating with caregivers and our team to promote skill development, independence, and positive behavior change. Calm, patient, and detail-oriented, I prioritize building trusting relationships and creating engaging, supportive learning environments. Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with my sister and husband—whether we're exploring Disney, trying new restaurants, or being out in nature.

I hold an associate degree and maintain CPR certification, ensuring both a strong professional foundation and a commitment to safety. I specialize in play-based learning, building independence, and natural environment teaching, tailoring each session to help children develop meaningful skills that enhance their daily lives. My work is driven by a deep passion for supporting children’s growth and fostering positive, lasting change. As a parent of a child with special needs, I bring a unique perspective and personal understanding to my role. This experience strengthens my empathy and dedication to partnering with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children. Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, exploring new recipes, and spending quality time with my children.
